Anjee’s Breast Reduction
Name: Anjee City: Englewood Country: USA Age: 29
My advice is to go to a lot of different doctors first. I only went to one, but I trusted all the basics that you worry about i.e. board certified, looked at before and after pictures, she passed there. I chose her because her bio said she specialized in reconstructive breast surgery so I thought "well surely she will do a good job." She was caring and thoughtful with me and her staff was great. But in the end, even the first week when I was able to take all the dressing off, you could tell the one side was bigger, they told me that it was swollen and would go down. It didn't, it is still bigger. Plus I feel off because one side is bigger. My nipples and areola were not placed in the right spot either...they are high, so before you even get to the round of the breast. I want to get surgery again to fix it, not that I want to really go into surgery again, but to feel better about myself, but I just don't have the money. This other doctor I went to about 1 1/2 years after my surgery quoted me $6,000 to fix it. It is really saddening to me because I didn't have to pay in the first place and if I would have had to pay I probably wouldn't have done it because I just didn't have that kind of money. Now I almost feel worse about myself. You can't tell from the outside because I wear an insert on one side of my bra but everyday when I get in the shower I hate to look at my breasts. So talk with your doctor be sure they know exactly what you want and go through ALL the possibilities. Sometimes I feel a man doctor would have been better because he would have made them visually pleasing as well, not just functional. - Anjee
Anjee’s Breast Reduction Details
Type of procedure: Breast Reduction Details: Vertical/Lollipop, Full/Anchor Incision Incisions Used: Periareolar (Around Nipple), Anchor Bra Size Before Surgery: 38G Bra Size After Surgery: 38 C & D
Reasons for Wanting Surgery: Increase Self Esteem , Poor Body Image, Physical Pain/Discomfort, Disproportionate Anatomy Reaction of Friends, Family, Co-Workers: Generally Good
Satisfaction Rating: Low. Well, it is nice to have smaller breasts and no pain, but my breasts came out uneven, really uneven. One side is a C the other a D and my nipples were placed high, too high. So I am happy the weight and pain is gone but not happy with how I look now.
Have you undergone any other plastic surgery procedures? no Are you considering other future procedures? Yes. I would love to get my breasts fixed but I would need the money...my original surgery was covered under my insurance, but then I lost that insurance so now I would have to pay...it kinda makes me mad.
Thanks for sharing Anjee!
