Christin's Breast Reduction

Christin's Breast Reduction

First Name: Christin
City: Vonore
Country: United States
Age: 43

I was really nervous about this surgery and have put it off for years - I'm 3 weeks post op and know I made the right decision. I felt immediate relief in my back, shoulders, and neck the very next day! I can now see the muscles or whatever between my neck and shoulders shrinking from the decrease in weight and it's only been 3 weeks! I seem to be able to breathe easier and my shoulders aren't pulled forward when sitting, standing, or walking anymore ... I can't state how pleased I am so far.

The surgery itself was painful, and still is healing. I went back to work 10 days post op and would recommend longer if I did it over again, thankfully my boss is very understanding and accommodating. I got my stitches/staples out 2 weeks post op - that was a great moment! The incisions around the nipple and down are healing great but the ones under my breast and between seem to heal slower and hurt more - a lot more actually.

I have now done a lot of research online to find out more about my healing and highly recommend this beforehand for others. The only thing I wish I was more aware of is the need for a compression bra - a good one and I was unaware I couldn't sleep on my stomach. Once I could stand it, so I did for a couple hours and OUCH! You'll pay for that one for days! – Christin
