Elissa’s Unusual Implant Story

Elissa’s Unusual Implant Story
First Name: Elissa
City: Lake Worth
Country: United States
Age: 61

I was a smoker for years. I was told to quit smoking 2 weeks before, which I did. (Haven't taken it up since, so that' good.) But I think women should be told to stop at least a month before. My left nipple did turn black, and I lost some of the nipple which took a very long time to heal.

I also wasn't given the option of having submuscular, but was told it would be subglandular with silicone smooth. These factors seem to contribute to capsular contracture.

My doctor used the manual technique of forcibly squeezing the breast to break free the capsule which after 3 times in a row, did seem to break up the capsule and my breast is soft (and sore and bruised.) But generally I feel better about my body, even though I am 61 with a husband 9 yrs. younger.

Our sex life is really ramped up and I do feel better because I lost a lot of weight due to stress when my husband took up photographing young women for nude photography. It took a real strain on me and I made him move out while he did this. He is now sorry for hurting me and admitted it was wrong for him to do that. So now after 3 months post surgery I am glad he has to pay monthly for my body, after what he spent on models to photograph them in the nude! - Elissa
