Lisa's Breast Implant Regret
First Name: Lisa City: Montrose Age: 46 I was a very small busted, 36A. In 1997 my new husband wanted me to be sexy and curvaceous, so I had the augmentation surgery. During the surgery, I went into respiratory arrest, as it turned out I was allergic to the anesthesia. As a result, my recovery was far more complicated than I bargained for. The eventual results looked great, but my under the muscle saline implants felt unnatural. The edges of the implants could be clearly felt, and my breasts had the consistency of water balloons. I've been divorced for 6 years from the man I had the surgery done for. He destroyed me financially and I have not yet recovered. Day before yesterday, my right implant ruptured. Now that breast is sagging and deflated. It feels just like a sandwich baggy half full of water. The implant was moving around too much and causing uncomfortable poking about. I solved the problem by putting my bra on it's last hooks, making it quite tight, and placing a breast lift pad in the right cup, lifting the deflated breast. It's financially impossible for me to have surgery, as I have just gone through a foreclosure this autumn and get by pay check to pay check. I hope leaving the implant in place will not lead to problems and I will get used to the uncomfortable feeling of the implant. I spent some time online today looking at full coverage mastectomy bras. Until I have one, I'll wear bulky tops. Thank goodness it's winter! In any case, the man I had my breasts done for had an affair & we divorced 6 years ago. Now one of the implants has deflated & I can not even hope to afford surgery. I have a half empty implant sloshing around in my chest & I can't do anything about it.
