Truly Beautiful

Psychology of Augmentation Mammoplasty

Augmentation mammoplasty can be a vital part of achieving balanced mental and emotional states for any woman with bodily issues specifically related to her breasts. It is not unusual for women to experience deeply held feelings of self-consciousness about their breasts. Many women suffer bouts of depression, feelings of inadequacy, body image dysmorphia, and a general lack of confidence or healthy social interaction due to perceived problems with their breast size, shape or appearance. Breast augmentation has proven itself to be a valuable part of the psycho-emotional recovery for many of these affected women.

Augmentation Mammoplasty Psychology

It is a well known fact that the physical changes enacted by a cosmetic surgery procedure are obvious, but it not generally known how the surgery improves the emotional state of the patient. Many women feel drawn to the idea of breast surgery, but have never stopped to analyze why they feel this strong desire to change their anatomy. For many women, conscious recognition of their underlying psychological issues is far too painful to think about actively, but these emotional concerns remain, buried deeply inside the subconscious mind. It is these issues, repressed or conscious, which really motivate a women in her decision to improve her breasts using a surgical procedure. This is called internal motivation and is the most vital component of any cosmetic surgery procedure.

Augmentation Mammoplasty Misunderstanding

Many unenlightened people view cosmetic surgery as a very superficial approach and maybe indicative of a shallow personality. The reality is actually quite the opposite. Most patients who undergo cosmetic surgery have long standing body image problems which are extremely valid and hurtful. Living life inside a body that is perceived to be flawed or damaged in some way can be a true nightmare for any woman. This is increasingly true as society continues to put a growing burden on women to be beautiful and perfect. If a women FEELS she can’t measure up, she will suffer emotional anguish which can definitely lead to a variety of psychosomatic pain conditions or psychological personality disorders.

Recommendation on Augmentation Mammoplasty

If you are considering breast enlargement surgery for the right reasons, you should be PROUD. There is no shame in empowering yourself to become the women you have always dreamed of being. Do not let any individual, or society in general, dissuade you from pursuing your goal. People can be cruel and many of your very same issues affect women around you as well. However, instead of sharing the pain and discussing common issues, many women will lash out in anger or jealousy at another woman who is actually trying to improve herself, rather than simply commiserating in silence. You are your own person and can make your own decisions. If you have given careful thought to the idea of breast enhancement and know that it will truly make you happy, then it is a noble pursuit to continue your quest and see the procedure through. In the end, if you feel complete, it will be worth any bumps in the road along the way. Sometimes the road to satisfaction is indeed convoluted, but stay your path and you will triumph in the end.
