Breast Enhancement Procedures

Breast enhancement procedures are custom tailored to fit every woman who desires better breasts. Many people associate the term breast enhancement with the use of breast implants. However, enhancement includes many other cosmetic surgery procedures used to improve and beautify the breasts.

Breast Enhancement Procedures / Augmentation

Breast augmentation is the most common form of breast enhancement. Breast augmentation is also commonly called breast enlargement or breast implant surgery. This category includes many specific procedures which utilize artificial breast prostheses called implants, to increase breast size and fullness. Breast implants can be filled with saline or silicone and come in a wide range of styles, sizes and profiles. The implants can be placed into the body using any of four common incision sites. These bodily entry incisions can be placed under the breast, around the areola, in the underarm or inside the belly button.

Breast Enhancement Procedures / Breast Lift

Breast lift, also called mastopexy, is growing in popularity every year. This category of procedures is comprised of varying surgeries which will firm and tone the breasts, remove excess and stretched out skin, and raise the anatomical position of the nipple and areola. The goal of mastopexy is to reverse the effects of age and degenerative lifestyle changes which affect the breasts throughout a woman’s adult years. Mastopexy can be used as a stand alone procedure or in combination with breast augmentation. Breast lifts can be accomplished on women with all different size and shaped breasts. However, the larger or more ptotic the breasts are, the more invasive the surgery will need to be, in order to achieve a pleasing result.

Breast Enhancement Procedures / Reduction

Breast reduction surgery is used to lessen the physical and emotional burden felt by many women with very large or pendulous breasts. Reduction surgery is similar to a mastopexy, but even more invasive, featuring the removal of considerable amounts of skin and breast tissue, in addition to the mastopexy lift. Breast reduction is a serious surgery, but can produce amazing life changing results in women suffering from the extreme effects of overly large breasts.

Breast Enhancement Procedures / Nipple

The actual nipple and/or areola are also popular anatomical locations to undergo surgical improvement. Nipples can be increased or reduced in size and can be lifted with a modified lift procedure. Areolas can be lifted, reduced or enlarged and their color can be changed to better complement the natural skin tone of the breast. Nipple surgery procedures offer unique solutions for women with specialized breast issues.

Recommendation on Breast Surgery Procedures

Plastic surgery is far more than a physical fix. It is salvation for the minds and spirits of women who suffer with breast problems and related body image issues throughout their adult lives. Some women suffer developmental abnormalities with their breasts, while others simply experience the cruel effects of age and lifestyle changes, such as weight loss/gain and childbirth/ breastfeeding. Regardless of the cause of your breast concerns, there is a solution. To find out more about the best options to achieve the body you long for, talk to a qualified cosmetic surgeon near you. They will be more than happy to assist you in becoming the woman you strive to be, with the breasts you really want!
