Breast Lift and Implant Issues
First Name: Cindy City: Austin Country: USA Age: 54 I am over the big breasts...I am 54 and take good care of myself, working out, eating sensibly, etc. I notice that, as the years go by, I am the only one in my circle of friends whose breasts are still perky and full on top. My friends have natural slightly droopy breasts...never thought I would be envious of them, but I am. I was so weary of men who never took the time to get to know "me". They wanted to know my breasts... until I met a wonderful man 3 years ago who saw "me"...fyi: he's a leg man so isn't into my breasts anyway. I have consulted with 3 surgeons in the past and 2 of the 3 indicate I need an implant revision and a breast lift and the the third (the revision surgeon) suggested just smaller implants with no lift. Looking back I suppose that a lower self esteem issue played a part in my decision to get the implants... then it became a "let's fix this" mentality as the complications/issues arose.I know that my breasts will sag and be less attractive after the explant procedure and I'm okay with it... I know who I am on the inside and besides, there's always the Miracle Bra! - Cindy Breast Lift and Implant Issues DetailsReasons for Wanting Surgery (check all which apply): Confidence Boost, Simply to Look Better, Asymmetry, Ptosis/Breast SaggingOther Details: I lost 35 lbs in 2002 leaving my 34C breasts very saggy and unattractive...I opted for 275cc saline which ended up being too small resulting a lot of problems/revisions. In 2003 I had another augmentation with 500 saline...great for a couple of years and then I was over them. Tired of my breasts entering the room before I did...shopping was all about camouflaging my chest, not fashion, jogging was uncomfortable... Reaction of Friends, Family, Co-Workers: Generally Good Type of procedure: Breast Lift, Breast Augmentation Details: My first surgeon advised a partial lift on left side as that breast was sagging more...had "T" lift on left and inframammary incision on right. Incisions Used:: Inframammary (Under the Breast) Breast Lift/Breast Reduction Patients: Vertical/Lollipop Breast Augmentation Patients: Under the Muscle/Submuscular Implant Type (check all which apply): Saline, Smooth, Moderate Profile Implant Size & Other Details: First implants were 275cc (L) and 300cc (R) Revisions were 500cc and done periareolar Satisfaction Rating: Medium Reasons for Satisfaction Rating: I really didn't expect all of the complications...maybe I was under-informed about slippage, capsular contraction, etc... Have you undergone any other plastic surgery procedures? : No Are you considering other future procedures?: Yes Details: I am seriously thinking of explantation.
