Truly Beautiful

Breast Reduction and Lift

Breast reduction and lift surgery is an integrated procedure included in most normal reduction operations. The goals of breast reduction include decreasing the size and bulk of very large breasts. However, reduction mammoplasty also sculpts the remaining breast tissue into a more pleasing aesthetic by lifting and toning the breast mound and raising the nipple position.

Breast Reduction and Lift

Breast Reduction and Lift Procedure

A mammary reduction operation is an invasive procedure which must make numerous large incisions in the breast. Most surgeons utilize the anchor incision to accomplish full reduction, although some surgeons prefer to utilize the vertical reduction technique on some patients, since it is less invasive. Once the breast is dissected, the surgeon will remove excess tissue consisting of fat, connective tissue and possibly glandular tissue, depending on specific patient anatomy. After the breast has reached a manageable size, the remaining structures will be drawn together and pulled up to a higher anatomical position on the chest wall. Once the tissue has been formed into a new breast mound, the nipple will be repositioned to a more youthful and pleasing location, high on the new breast. Once these steps have been completed, the surgeon will close the layers of the incisions, taking special care when closing the actual skin to minimize scarring.

Breast Reduction and Lift Benefits

This combined procedure accomplishes a complete breast transformation during one operation. Women go into surgery with large ponderous and often highly problematic breasts, which have caused them physical and emotional pain. When they wake up after surgery, their breasts are far smaller and much more visually appealing. Ptosis will be eliminated and the new breasts will be perky and less of a burden. Healing will take some time, due to the invasive nature of the procedure. However, once healed, the vast majority of women enjoy greater physical functionality than ever before in their adult lives. Their new smaller and lighter breasts allow these women to become more active and participate in activities which were impossible when they suffered from such large unwieldy breasts. An improved body translates into a renewed positive self image, which increases confidence, self esteem and positive social interaction. Most women rate the reduction experience as one of the best decisions of their lives.

Recommendation on Breast Reduction and Lift

Enduring the endless struggle with ultra large breasts is no laughing matter. Big breasts can cause physical effects ranging from poor posture to arthritis to back pain. Emotional effects can be even more debilitating, with many women suffering from body dysmorphic disorder, self consciousness or depression. Lightening your load might be the right choice if you constantly dream of having smaller and firmer breasts. Yes, you are likely to have scars on your breasts after the procedure, but a good surgeon will always minimize surgical evidence . Additionally, scar reduction techniques can reduce the visibility of these marks even more. Despite the scars, your life will be changed for the better. You can DO what you want. You can WEAR what you want. You will NOT BE IN PAIN anymore…
