Great Breast Reduction Results

Great Breast Reduction Results

First Name: Barbara
City: Seattle
Country: United States
Age: 48

It has been 2 weeks post-surgery and I could not be more pleased. The pain was horrible the first few days, but kept under control with the pain meds. Surgery took about 3 hours and I was at home a couple hours later. I have the type of stitches that dissolve, so no draining tubes were placed but there is a thin layer of glue that is placed over the stitches/sutures. After 48 hours, I removed my bandages and took my first shower. A piece of one gauze bandage stuck to one of my areolas, so that was a little uncomfortable as I had to cut off the gauze practically one thread at a time before I could get in the shower. My breasts felt pretty numb in the shower so no pain while showering.

The glue makes the sutures look much worse than they really are as the glue dries with some drainage/blood and makes the scars appear thicker. As the glue is starting to peel off I can see the scars are not as bad as they looked initially. My pant size is an 8, but I've always had to buy size 12 tops. I can now fit in mediums and size 8-10 tops so I am sooooo pleased. More importantly, the discomfort I was experiencing in my neck, shoulder and back is completely gone! I didn't like the idea of wearing a sports bra for the first 4 weeks but the sports bra actually feels better right now. After the first four weeks a bra can be worn, but my doctor recommends no underwires for a few months. If you are contemplating this surgery, I would highly recommend it.

My breasts are the perfect size and they are perky again. I am still pretty sore, but I know this will get better in time. - Barbara
