Possible Breast Reconstruction Revision
First Name: Sandra City: Mexico Beach, FL Country: United States Age: 66
I am on the caught in a difficult decision. My situation cannot be that unique, but I am not finding a lot of information to help me make it from the Internet. I had a cancer diagnosis in 1995. I then had a double mastectomy. I waited for almost 6 years to have reconstruction, which I had done with silicone (liquid) implants in 2001. I then moved from CA to FL and have recently had a special MRI, which shows that both are now leaking. At my age, and having good, but not excellent health, should I consider the risk of another surgery or the risk of continuous implant failure? Any information you can refer me to that will help me make this difficult decision will be helpful? Thank you - Sandra
