Truly Beautiful

Breast Enlargement Recovery

Breast enlargement recovery Breast enlargement recovery is a process which requires time and patience in order to fully heal from the surgical procedure. Women who receive breast implants must know how to take care of themselves and their new breasts after undergoing surgery. Proper aftercare is vital to achieving the perfect aesthetic results you desire and avoiding any post-operative problems with your new breasts.

Breast Enlargement Recovery / Compression Bra

Immediately following surgery, you are likely to awake with your new breasts completely covered by a compression garment. This specially designed bra or wrap maintains even pressure on your breasts, supporting the implants and minimizing postoperative swelling. This support garment should be worn for as long as advised by your doctor. It is common to want to show off your new breasts after a few days, but resist the urge and maintain use of this compression garment to insure the best long term results from your operation. Sometimes the bra might feel very constricting and you might be tempted to take it off while sleeping or resting. This is a bad idea, since your breasts really need to be the focus of your attention at this crucial time. You will simply have to get used to the garment for as long as it is deemed medically necessary.

Breast Enlargement Recovery / Surgical Facts

Your surgeon might have to implant drainage tubes in your breasts to prevent inflammation and fluid retention in the traumatized tissue. These tubes will be removed in a day or so once your surgeon sees that everything is stabilizing inside the breast implant pocket. Your new breasts might be very swollen and are likely to be bruised from the surgery. You might have considerable pain and tightness in your chest which is likely to be aggravated by movement. Your implants will take some time to “fall” into position which will make them look odd in some patients. This is especially true for women who undergo submuscular placement. In several weeks to several months, your implants will descend into a permanent location which will look more natural. If your doctor recommends breast implant massage, you must begin immediately after your procedure. Be particularly careful while your implants are new and make sure to follow your doctor’s instructions to the letter.

Breast Enlargement Recovery Warnings

There are signs that something might be wrong with your new implants or surgical incisions. Learning the early warning signs of potential complications can minimize their effects and prevent them from becoming a chronic or severe concern. The most common post-surgical complications include:

* Infection can characterized by redness around the incisions, heat in the surgical region, discharge from the wounds or nipples, abnormal pain, fever, chills and dizziness.

* Seroma or hematoma can form on the breast due to surgical trauma. These usually resolve by themselves, but might necessitate treatment in certain instances.

* Bleeding from the wounds can indicate a compromised surgical incision.

* Color change in the breast tissue can indicate a serious health concern such as necrosis. A sudden loss of all color or darkening of color should reported immediately.

If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your surgeon or local emergency room ASAP.

Breast Enlargement Recovery Guidelines

After you feel a bit better, your doctor will encourage you to get up and move around. Gentle activity such as walking will help to stimulate the healing response and help you to regain your functionality much faster. Do not do any lifting or strenuous activity for several weeks, as advised by your surgeon. Moisturize your breast skin often, but do not allow any moisturizer to get on or in your incisions while they are still fresh. Take special care when bathing. Do not get your new incisions wet or allow the general area to remain moist for any length of time. You might be advised to do certain exercises by your doctor which might be uncomfortable, but are important to help your body acclimate to the implants. Make sure to have lots of help doing the things you can not do for yourself.

Emotional Breast Enlargement Recovery

Many women experience a sense of immediate regret when they realize that the recovery process is painful and will take some time. Do not fall into this trap. Surgery is an ordeal and it will take a lot out of you. Expect the worst and hope for the best. If your recovery is particularly painful or problematic, don’t sweat it. In a few days, you will feel much better and in a matter of weeks, the pain will be a distant memory. Keep positive mental and emotional states and be happy you made it this far in your quest for the body you truly desire. Soon, your beautiful new breasts will be fully healed and you will enjoy them for years to come. When you consider the great joy most women get from their perfectly shaped new breasts, the few days of pain and several weeks of limitation are well worth the cost…

Recommendation on Breast Enlargement Recovery

Making it past the first 48 hours is typically the hardest part of the recovery process. This is especially true for women who are undergoing their first augmentation. Revision procedures are not likely to be as uncomfortable as original enlargement operations, due to the breast being accustomed to having an implant inside and having sufficient skin to reduce tightness and constriction. Follow all the aftercare instructions given to you by your doctor. Once your incisions have healed, you can begin scar reduction methods if necessary. Most importantly of all, enjoy your new breasts! You had to endure much to achieve the look you wanted, but now you made it. Be proud of yourself and take time to pamper your new breasts as often as possible.
